What we do

We supply and install three things, and we do them all the way through. You deal with one firm from the first visit to the finished room.

Wetrooms

Shower enclosure with marble-effect wall panels and brass-framed sliding doors

A wetroom replaces the bath or shower tray with a level floor that drains, so there is nothing to step over. It is the change that makes the biggest difference to someone who is finding the bathroom harder to use.

We plan it around the person using it: where the seat goes, which side the rail needs to be, how high the controls sit. Then we deal with what you do not see: the floor, the falls to the drain and the waterproofing. That hidden work decides whether a wetroom lasts.

Where a full wetroom is not needed, we also fit walk-in showers and adapted bathrooms.

Disability adaptations

A wetroom with a level floor throughout, a floor drain and a ceiling track hoist.

Adaptations let someone stay safely in their own home. They range from a single grab rail to changing the layout of a whole floor.

Most of our adaptation work is making a bathroom workable for someone who uses a wheelchair or is unsteady on their feet. The work includes:

  • Grab rails and support rails
  • Step-free access, inside and out
  • Ramps
  • Wider doorways
  • Raised or lowered fittings
  • Hoists in bathrooms and bedrooms

We have done full adaptations for council and housing association properties as well as private homes.

Grants and referrals

We take on Disabled Facilities Grant jobs and referrals from occupational therapists, and we are used to working alongside them.

Kitchens

We supply and fit complete kitchens: measuring, planning, units, worktops, plumbing, electrics and finishing.

For customers who need it, we set worktops, units and appliances at heights that suit them, including for wheelchair users.

What “supply and install” means

We source the materials and fittings, and we fit them. You do not need to find a plumber, an electrician and a tiler and get them to turn up in the right order.

We do every trade ourselves apart from electrics, which a trusted, qualified electrician carries out for us. Ian manages every job himself, works to building regulations throughout, and takes on one job at a time so he can see it through properly.

What we don’t take on

We concentrate on work inside the home. We no longer take on extensions, excavations, brickwork, blockwork or roofing.

How a job runs

  1. You get in touch. Tell us what you have in mind, or what is getting difficult.
  2. We visit. The first visit is free, with no obligation. We look at the space and talk it through with you and anyone else you want there.
  3. You get a written quote. It is itemised, so you can see the cost of every part of the job, from strip-out to tiling, with VAT shown at the end.
  4. We do the work. Some jobs take days, some take months. On longer jobs, and when you need to move out, we look after the property as though it were ours.
  5. We hand it back. We go through everything with you before we leave.

Because we take on one job at a time, the start date depends on how busy the diary is. We will give you a realistic date when we quote.
